Installation Process Overview
This section provides a high-level overview of the Document Generation Services (DGS) installation process.
Note: It is assumed that the user has advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and servers.

- Fulfilling prerequisites
- Creating Databases with Database Installation Wizard
- Configuring Transforms.xml and creating/installing Administration
- Configuring Transforms.xml and creating/installing STS
- Configuring Transforms.xml and creating/installing Core Services
- Using Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Administration
- Configuring Transforms.xlm and creating/installing Document Generation Services components
- Deploying content in the Management Service
Additionally, log files are available in C:\ProgramData after installing Document Generation Services that provide more information. See Using Log Files.
Provided with this installation guide
The following folders and files are provided with the Document Generation Services Installation Guide:
- ExpereRepository: contains the folder structure for the content deployment process.
- STS-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used when installing and configuring STS.
- CoreServices-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used when installing Core Services.
- Admin-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used for installing and configuring Administration.
- DGS-InstallTransformKit: contains the Transforms.xml file used for installing and configuring Document Generation Services.
- Database Installation Wizard: utility that allows you to add default database names used in the installation process and generate a script.
